I think I made a booboo over at PayPerPost - so my blog is currently ‘locked out’ or simply put, temporarily removed out of the system. I was shocked to find out about the news when I saw almost all of my posts getting rejected yesterday because of the inclusion of Kontera ads (which I didn’t really know were illegal in the PayPerPost system). I just wanted to try it out and poof - I got something I never really intended to in the process. The thing is, I didn’t get a chance to revise my posts and remove all the traces of Kontera - I just woke up to find out that my account’s already locked. I have sent a letter of apology and appeal to reinclusion to the platform because it’s the only form of monetary earnings I get. I hope it’s just a misunderstanding with one of the content checkers because they usually give a chance to revise posts and entries at a considerable amount of time - I’ll find out in the next few days.

I guess I’ve learned my lesson now, and I hope PayPerPost reconsiders me back over. Wish me really good luck.

UPDATE:

I forwarded my appeal to the customer love head at the forums and she said that they’re looking at my account’s issue closely. I’m hoping for a positive reply, I’m still anxiously waiting. This is giving me the chills.

Sorry to hear bout that. Hope your account would be reinstated by PayPerPost.

Wow. Pay per posts reputation is that they never turn down a buck.

  3. Sarakastic

That’s terrible, hopefully they will see that it was a mistake. keep us updated & best of luck!

@ Jaypee: I do hope so. The head of their customer service replied to me that they are taking action on it.
@ Medical Spa MD: We’ll see.
@ Sarakastic: I do hope so. Although I am partially to blame for it, I think I deserved to have a chance to edit my posts before being banned in an instant.

I got a couple of warning messages due to Kontera. I ended up disabling Kontera cos it wasn’t bringing in any where near as much as PayPerPost.
    Good luck

@ Swollen Pickles: I didn’t get any, I just got locked out immediately. I hope they reconsider my issue since it’s an honest mistake.

Oh, that’s tough luck… but well, as you said, the issue isn’t quite over and closed yet. Have hope — PPP might reconsider.

  8. Aaron

    @fruityoaty: thanks heaps, they reconsidered!

Yeh I got banned for having adsense on the same page!!! Couldn’t believe it

how come? but i just realized i only can do 2 posts instead of 3…. don’t know why…

  11. Kelsey

Aw, that’s sad. Did they not say on the rules that it’s not allowed to have ads on your blog?

I always wonder if it worth taking into account payperpost. Does in really pay up that good that it deserves to jeopardize your blog’s credibility? Or is it just me who immediately closes a blog when he sees the PayPerPost logo there? :)

  13. Crissy

Glad they gave you a second chance! :)

  14. Jaypee

@Aaron - Crossing my fingers and hope that your account will be unlocked.

@Mike - I’m not trying to change your opinion but I don’t see why having PPP would jeopardize a blog’s credibility. I’m not being biased but personally, as long as the blog has other good quality content, sponsored posts don’t count. It’s just an avenue for some bloggers to earn some money through their blogs.

Even popular blogs like JohnChow.com do sponsored reviews and posts. Anyways, it’s debatable and really up to the reader’s preference. Just trying to share my opinion. :)

I hate it when such things happen without a simple warning e-mail first. How hard could it be ?

  16. Cherry

oh my… this is bad. pray harder! @_@

  17. Matt

I tried PPP, however I currently don’t have more than 1 post per page, so I wasn’t accepted. Perhaps I should change that…

  18. swollenpickles

Hey there Aaron, have you had any luck getting back in???

  19. creation de sites internet

Wow. Yeah they are known to never turn down a buck.
