I’ve been a subscriber of the SKY/BayanTel DSL service since 2005 and they have new rates for their DSL packages. I saw that the new charge for the DSL+Phone rates on their website to be only P1,199 as indicated in the website and we can save around P200 per month if our account would be updated. (Our current charge is P1,400 a month). We have called customer service and we were told that the only way to avail of the new pricing rates is to resubscribe and deactivate our old account - which means we have to pay the installation fee and actually negate the P200 savings we could have received by resubscribing to the service. Isn’t this a bit unfair for the older subscribers who have been paying more for the same service, and who have been actually patronizing the service?

I’m quite affected by this because I actually do pay for my DSL line with my own money.
